Employment Application Disclaimer

Thank you for your interest in working at Tail Country Pet Resort, LLC. We have found that many people do not have a very realistic view of what it is like working in a lodging and daycare facility. Please read the below information prior to completing your application.

Our primary purpose is to take care of our client’s dogs. This is not a responsibility to be taken lightly. The position requires a genuine love for animals, and staff members who are mature enough to understand and accept the large responsibilities involved with their care. All staff are required to clean up any soiled areas, feed the dogs in our care, administer medications, (if so approved) and attend to each dog’s comfort and security at all times. This requires physical work, focus & dedication to your job.

You will be working with dogs and will be exposed to loud noises, cleaning chemicals, dog urine & feces, and possibly a variety of parasites and zoonoses, (medical ailments that people can acquire from animals). There is always a risk of being bitten, scratched or injured. There are the potential hazards you face and accept when working in the pet care industry.

Each staff member shares in all the responsibilities involved with the daily operations of our facility. While we certainly attempt to make the best use of each staff member’s skills and experience, please realize that no one is exempt from any aspect of our daily routine, including the more dull and unpleasant chores that need to be performed. You will be expected to clean floors, guest rooms, empty trash, attend to laundry, clean staff areas and bathrooms, etc. On most days you will be required to clean up urine, feces or vomit. If you have any allergies to pet hair, unable to lift 50 pounds, stand on your feet for extended periods of time, walk dogs, bend & lift, this may not be the most suitable job.

We are seeking mature, responsible and dependable employees. You must be patient, calm, intelligent and self-motivated at all times. We take our profession very seriously and expect the same from all members of our staff.
